How to Stay Beautiful after Having Kids

I’m sure you know a few women who completely let go of themselves once they have children.

They stop caring about dressing up and wearing make-up. They start stress eating and stop working out. They just stop trying! They become bitter and jealous of the young women they encounter with their “perfect” bodies and skin. We often say to ourselves, “OMG, so and so looks so different! She really let go of herself” (sigh).

Well, this is post is NOT to gossip about those women. This post IS FOR THOSE WOMEN and for anyone who fears that having a baby will “ruin” their bodies or change their lives (for worse). It’s simply not true! Just because you had a baby, does not mean it’s over for you! I get it, I know how difficult it is to learn how to become a mother and putting all your attention on your loved ones BUT you need to love and take care of yourself JUST like you take care of those babies of yours!

Baby Shower #2! Skyla Renee was on the way!

The first person you need to love on is YOU. You know how you like to dress the baby up in an adorable outfit when you take them to a party? Yes, well you need to that to yourself as well, but like, everyday! Picture yourself looking super cute as you go about your day. Picture yourself being a HOT MAMA! Trust me, once you start visualizing yourself as a young, vibrant, cool mom that’s what will reflect from you! Our thoughts really are powerful so take control of your current ones by making NEW thoughts!

I know some people are against cosmetic procedures (to each their own) but now a days there are so many different procedures that can be done that are non-invasive and that could easily remove any type issue from wrinkles to stretch marks to extra skin, etc!

Don’t dwell on the negative. Of course our bodies and lives change after we have babies! It’s a miracle that many women who cannot conceive WISH that they could go through! With all the stretchies and weight gain! Feel blessed that you were able to carry a life inside you and become a mother. But just don’t forget, that you are your first baby and you deserve all the love and attention as well! Besides, how can you pour from an empty cup? Fill your cup first, and then you can be the best host (mom, partner, friend) evaaaaa.

Love ya girl, Gilly.

By the way – I absolutely loved this dress for my baby shower! It was so light, comfortable, and airy! Fit perfectly and I received so many compliments on it! You can find it on the link below!
