Hey hey hey! Happy Sunday friends!
After being asked by several of my friends for the recipe of this seasoning, I thought it’s be a great idea to share it as post for all to try!
To my Brazilian readers, this seasoning might not be anything new because it’s known as the homemade garlic seasoning, or “tempeiro caseiro de alho” in Brazil!
You can use this paste to season your rice, beans, meat, poultry, fish, seafood, spaghetti, etc! Just the smell of it hitting the pan is enough to make you’re mouth water! Then all you have to do is just store it in the fridge and use it as you will.
Well, without further ado – here it is!
Ingredients:
- 2 heads of garlic
- Half an onion, chopped
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Fresh chives, chopped
- Olive oil (enough to mix paste into creamy consistency
- 2 tbsp salt (more or less, up to you)
Preparation:
Time: 5-10 min
Throw it all in a blender and blend until all ingredients have been mixed to a creamy consistency!
It should be good for about a week or two! Simple and easy, AMIRIGHT? Also, I only cook for 3 people so I don’t need to make a lot. Double up on the ingredients to accommodate for your family size!
Alright folks, let me know how this works out for you! And to my Brazilian friends, what else do you add to your seasoning!? I know many people like to add other ingredients as well!
